Love is in the air at Mid City Grill! For only R250 per person or at R450 per couple you can enjoy a decadent four-course meal perfectly paired with various wines from Bon Courage Wine Estate. That’s right, our monthly Wine and Dine evening for February is conveniently planned for Valentine’s Day: Friday, 14 February. A unique menu has been created by Blackrock’s Executive Chef Gary Smith and his team – a perfect match for the most romantic day of the year! After your welcome drink you will be presented with a Seafood and Pork Mezze platter to share and a 2019 unwooded Chardonnay. Next up is your starter: a Deconstructed Valentino Beef Wellington with a 2018 Cab/Shiraz estate blend. For mains you can look forward to the Midcity Classic Chicken Supreme with a 2019 Mulberry Bush Merlot. End the evening off with a Hearty Mixed Berry and Oreo Pavlova perfectly paired with a 2011 Classique Jacques Bruere Cuvee Rose. Local is so lekker it’s no wonder there’s a Craft Revolution brewing! And Blackrock Casino has jumped on the craft beer bandwagon! The Blackrock Craft Revolution is a one-day taste extravaganza showcasing crafted goods from in and around Newcastle, as well as Pretoria and Durban. Clear your diary for Saturday, 29 February and experience the offerings of the small local crafted goods producers throughout South Africa including brewers, distillers, jewellers, as well as unique food products. You can expect fun entertainment for the kids and live local bands with a festive sitting area for the general public. The event will provide a great platform for beer connoisseurs and those that would like to experience something a little less mainstream from the craft breweries across South Africa. Don’t miss out!
